In this essay I am taking a closer look at the Dutch educational system.
The reason why the Dutch case is so interesting in particular, is because of the fact that financial support for students (the student grant) was abolished recently (in 2015).
The current discussion in the Netherlands, is whether or not the student grant should return.
In the essay below, I describe my personal view on the matter and propose possibilities for an alternative educational system.
